Rainer

Meet Rainer! This sweet 3-year-old Blue Heeler is a tripod who has overcome so much and is ready for a loving home. He was found as a stray after a car accident, which unfortunately led to the amputation of one of his legs. Despite this hardship, Rainer has been neutered, completed heartworm treatment, and recovered from his surgery with incredible resilience. He's a dog social boy who does best with other dogs that understand and respect his boundaries. The shelter environment is proving to be a challenge for Rainer, as is common with intelligent and active breeds like Heelers. He truly deserves a comfortable couch, a family to call his own, and a person to be devoted to. Tripod dogs are amazing at adapting and living life to the fullest, and Rainer is no exception. He's ready to run, play, and be a cherished companion.

Ideal Home

Rainer would thrive in a home that can provide him with a routine and the space to be himself. He does best with other dogs who understand and respect his boundaries.

Training & Support

Rainer is a social dog but, like many Heelers, may struggle with the stress of a shelter environment. He needs a patient and understanding owner who can give him the stability and connection he craves.
