Blackie

Blackie is a sweet and loving Lab/Pit mix who is looking for his forever home. He was a cherished indoor dog with children, but sadly, his family moved and he was placed outside in a kennel. We were happy to welcome him into our rescue to find a family that will cherish him as an indoor companion. Blackie is house-trained, minds well, and enjoys playtime, which will help him shed a few extra pounds. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs. We are unsure how he would do with cats.

Ideal Home

Blackie would thrive in a home where he is an indoor pet, receiving the love and attention he deserves. He needs a family who will not make him live outdoors.

Ongoing Health

Blackie is fixed, microchipped, and has been dewormed. He recently had a dental check-up, received a 1-year heartworm prevention shot, and tested heartworm negative. He is also on flea and tick prevention.

Training & Support

Blackie is house-trained and minds well. He has a bit of weight to lose, but he'll happily achieve this with regular play and exercise.
