Hawkeye and Remi are a bonded pair of senior dogs with big hearts, looking for their forever home together!
Hawkeye is a 10-year-old Black Lab mix who embodies gentle senior charm. He loves the simple pleasures in life: basking in the sun, enjoying fresh air, and finding a comfy, shady spot for a nap after his important "security patrol" duties. He's house-trained on a schedule of about 6-7 hours and appreciates a midday potty break. Hawkeye needs a securely fenced yard where he feels comfortable exploring at his own pace. He walks well on a leash, and short walks help manage his arthritis, for which he receives Cosequin supplements. Due to laryngeal paralysis, he should always wear a harness, and his activity should be limited during mid-afternoon heat to avoid aggravation. Hawkeye is social and friendly with other dogs and showed no issues when meeting a cat at the vet clinic.
Remi is an 8-year-old Border Collie mix who is the more active of the duo. He's intelligent, observant, and enjoys his time in a fenced yard, keeping a watchful eye on his surroundings. He's affectionate and loves to relax with his people, often resting his head on a lap during quiet evenings. Remi thrives on companionship and attention as much as he enjoys activity. He gets along well with other dogs. While he hasn't been officially tested with cats, his temperament suggests no immediate concerns. Remi is still working on his leash skills and benefits from 2-3 short walks daily. He does best when crated in the morning to prevent occasional accidents.
Together, Hawkeye and Remi are a sweet, bonded pair who clearly adore each other. They balance each other perfectly – Hawkeye's calm demeanor complements Remi's playful curiosity and intelligence. They are both loving dogs who will bring joy and companionship to their new home.
