About Panchita

Panchita is a delightful 2-3-year-old female Creole mix who weighs around 33 lbs. Rescued in March 2024, she's currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico, and is eager to travel to the East Coast on her next cross-country trip! Panchita is incredibly loving, intelligent, obedient, and well-behaved. She's a social butterfly who gets along with all humans, children, and other dogs. Panchita loves to play, go for walks, and truly thrives on affection. She's known for her sweet disposition, noble spirit, and charismatic, always-smiling personality, genuinely trying to please everyone. She's also friendly with cats! You can count on her to be affectionate, docile, playful, and fiercely loyal. She brings a lot of joy and fun wherever she goes. Panchita is crate and leash trained. She was found as a stray who was likely once owned but allowed to roam freely, leading to an unplanned pregnancy. Thankfully, she and her 7 puppies were rescued and brought to safety.

Ideal Home

Panchita would do best in a home with a fenced backyard and with active families who enjoy outdoor activities. Adopters should have an open conscience regarding the needs of rescued animals and be prepared to offer protection and education. Experience with dog behavior and training is highly recommended, as is a high level of tolerance and patience for rescued pups. Panchita is NOT house-trained.

Ongoing Health

Panchita has completed a comprehensive health protocol, including being spayed, vaccinated (DHPPI, Rabies, Bordetella), dewormed, and microchipped. She has also tested negative for heartworm and received a negative 4DX test. She is up-to-date on monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention (Nexgard Spectra) and comes with a health certificate and vaccination booklet.

Training & Support

Panchita is crate and leash trained. However, she is NOT house-trained. Adopters should be prepared for the ongoing process of house-training and understand that rescued animals often require patience and consistent guidance.
