Meet Billy! This handsome boy is the perfect blend of independent lounger and loyal companion. Billy is a wonderful, low-maintenance guy who loves being part of the household without constantly demanding your attention. If you're looking for a dog who is content to do his own thing but will gladly shower you with affection once he knows you, Billy might just be your perfect match. Billy's absolute favorite hobby is lounging by the pool. He will happily spend hours soaking up the sun and catching some rays. He needs a good walk in the morning and another after dinner. Once those are checked off, he is perfectly content to curl up on the couch or the floor and relax while you watch TV. Billy loves to be in the same room as his humans, but he is definitely not needy. He has no problem staying by himself and handles solo time like a champ. Billy needs a slow introduction to new people, but there's a simple trick to winning him over: just ignore him! If you let him come to you on his own terms, he adapts incredibly fast. Once you've crossed the finish line and become his friend, you're in for life. He will greet you with a wagging tail and a face full of loving licks! Billy previously lived with two other dogs and got along great with them, but he can be selective about his playmates.
Ideal Home
An active family that has experience with a smart, workaholic dog and can manage his needs with enrichment and exercise. No cats, and older kids are better. Billy would do best in a home with no other dogs, or with a small dog companion.

Billy is working on leash reactivity and has made fantastic progress using positive reinforcement. His forever owner will need to be committed to continuing this training. This includes being proactive and crossing the street when other walkers approach, and being strong enough to hold him back if a larger dog approaches or reacts to him.
