Barks and Meows Rescue introduces Ferris, a friendly, intelligent Belgian Shepherd/Malinois mix. He is about 80% Malinois, medium-sized, full grown, and weighs approximately 47 pounds. Ferris is food motivated, playful, focused, and enjoys outdoor games that make him think.

Ideal Home

Ferris adores children and people who give him attention. He enjoys playing chase with socialized dogs and could live with another dog or as the only dog. Because of his prey drive, he needs a cat-free home. He is agile and a climber, so a chain-link fence would not be suitable. He is available to Ontario residents only.

Ongoing Health

Ferris is up to date on vaccines, has been dewormed, and receives heartworm, flea, and tick medication. He has no food allergies. He will be microchipped and 4DX tested before adoption. His adoption fee includes neutering at West Lorne Animal Hospital after adoption.

Training & Support

Ferris is crate trained and uses his crate for feeding and sleeping. He is easily trained, very smart, and focused. He would benefit from obedience classes and daily thinking activities such as agility or scent training. He has moderate energy and does not have a high level of endurance.
