Meet Josie, a sweet and loving companion ready to bring joy to your family! This delightful Staffordshire Terrier mix, born around October 26, 2023, and weighing 41 lbs, is the perfect cuddle buddy for any occasion. Josie adores playing with her toys, snuggling with her foster siblings, sunbathing, and of course, chicken nuggets! She has seamlessly acclimated to her foster home, which includes children, and she does wonderfully with them.
Josie is already potty trained, walks beautifully on a leash, and knows commands like "sit" and "stay." Being highly treat-motivated, she's eager to learn and become a cherished member of your pack. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs, especially playful ones. Her favorite activities include snuggling up on the couch, napping, going for long walks, and especially car rides, where she's a perfect passenger.
Josie was rescued from a county shelter where she was facing euthanasia due to overcrowding. She came to the shelter as a neglect case, emaciated and having clearly endured a rough start. She has made incredible progress and is now ready to find her forever home.
Ideal Home
Josie is a wonderfully adaptable dog who thrives on love and attention. She is great with children and enjoys the company of other dogs, especially playful ones.
Ongoing Health
Josie is fully vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed. She is still working on gaining a bit more weight, but she is otherwise in good health and ready for her new life.
Training & Support
Josie is a smart and eager-to-please pup who is already potty trained and knows basic commands. Her treat motivation makes her a joy to train.

Transporation
Transportation is included in the adoption fee. Please note that pickup locations for transported dogs may vary and can be across city, county, or state lines. We coordinate with multiple transport services that operate weekly to Eastern states and bi-weekly or monthly to Western states from Texas to your state or a neighboring state. These are ground transports using third-party vehicles (vans/buses) converted for dog transport. You will be able to track the van using the Life360 app and receive updates during transport. Facebook chats are also available to stay informed on tracking dogs on transport.
