MELMAN AKA KOKO

Meet Melman, a 2.5-year-old neutered male who is up to date on vaccines and microchipped. This sweet, gentle giant, named after the goofy, lengthy, wobbly giraffe, has overcome quite a bit – he had both hips fixed! Now fully healed, he's ready to find his forever home. Melman is a very big, affectionate dog who wants to be his human's best friend. His ideal day involves snuggles and pets on the couch. He has done well with both dogs and cats in his foster home, and would be a great addition to a household with feline friends! He can live with other dogs, but would do best with calm, submissive canine companions or in a home where he can have all the spotlight and love. Melman walks well on a leash, is friendly with all humans, and has previously done well with children. However, we recommend older children who can respect his recovery. He is house-trained but still needs some work on crate training.

Ideal Home

Melman would thrive in a home where he can be your best friend and get plenty of snuggles. He would do well with calm, submissive dogs or as the sole canine companion. He has done well with children and can be part of a family, but we recommend older children who can respect his recovery period.

Ongoing Health

Melman has had both hips surgically repaired and is now fully healed. He is up to date on all his vaccines.

Training & Support

Melman is house-trained and walks well on a leash. He needs some continued practice with crate training.
