About Cooper

Look! Up in the sky! It's a bird... it's a plane... Nope! It's a very tall hound who jumps for joy when he sees you... it's Super Cooper! Cooper is three years old, gloriously healthy, and mostly housetrained -- which means he brings both enthusiasm and manners to the table. He is the kind of dog who greets you like you have just returned from a heroic quest, even if you only stepped outside to grab the mail. His whole body celebrates your existence. This is a young hound in his prime. He wants to play. He wants to hike. He wants to run. If there's an active verb, Cooper wants to try it. Long walks through the neighborhood. Weekend trail adventures. A backyard game of chase that turns into laughter and grass stains. He is built for motion and joy. He adores all humans -- enthusiastically, wholeheartedly, without hesitation. New friend? Excellent. You have a stuffed squeaky toy? Even better. And if you have an active dog who enjoys a good romp, Cooper would love to clock in for playtime. He thrives with canine companions who match his energy and appreciate a good chase. Every superhero has a weakness. Cooper's kryptonite? Stairs. They are deeply suspicious and, in his opinion, not to be trusted. With patience and encouragement he may improve, but for now he would much prefer a home accessible from the ground floor (apartments would not suit him). When the day winds down, Super Cooper clocks out of superhero duty and becomes simply your dog. The loyal one. The steady one. The one who rests his head near your knee and reminds you that home is a place with four paws in it.

Ideal Home

Cooper would thrive in an active home with plenty of opportunities for play and adventure. He loves human interaction and would enjoy a canine companion who matches his energy level for playtime. Cooper is deeply suspicious of stairs and would prefer a home accessible from the ground floor; apartments would not suit him.

Ongoing Health
