Jorge Rogelio Vicente Cortez III, but you can call him Jorge, is a 50lb lab-hound mix born on July 4, 2021. Rescued from a tough start in Ensenada, Mexico, Jorge blossomed in a sanctuary where he discovered his sweet and affectionate personality. He's earned the nickname "kiss toll operator" for his enthusiastic greetings! Jorge has spent time in foster homes, gaining confidence and learning to feel safe and cared for. He enjoys spending time with his foster siblings, soaking up the sun, and going on pack walks, which are the highlight of his day! Jorge is fully potty-trained and crate-trained. His crate is his sanctuary where he can relax.

Ideal Home

Jorge would thrive in a home with a fenced yard. He would do best with older children and doggy siblings who are introduced slowly. He hasn't met a cat, so his compatibility with them is unknown. He does best in a calm and consistent environment.

Training & Support

Jorge is fully potty and crate trained. He can be a little sensitive to sudden movements, but with gentle reassurance, he opens up quickly and shows his snuggly, affectionate side. With a patient family, he will continue to build his confidence.
