Rugby is an athletic and affectionate boy looking for an active family ready to help him become the amazing companion he's meant to be. He's a social butterfly who loves people, is always ready for belly rubs, and is smart and eager to learn. Rugby is treat-motivated, knows "sit" and "down," loves toys, and is learning to play fetch. He's also a water lover and walks well on a leash, even better with a harness.

Rugby is still young and full of playful energy, curiosity, and excitement for life! He would love an adopter who enjoys walks, hikes, outdoor adventures, and continuing his training. With consistency and positive reinforcement, Rugby is sure to thrive.

Ideal Home

Rugby would thrive in an active home that can keep him mentally and physically engaged. A secure fenced yard for running and playing is ideal. Due to his enthusiastic and sometimes jumpy play style, he would do best with older children (13+) and would prefer a Shepherd-savvy or experienced dog owner.

Like many adolescent dogs, Rugby can get a little mouthy and excited during play, but he's incredibly eager to learn and responds well to guidance.
