Meet Hachi!
Hachi is a 2-year-old, 50-pound bundle of love with a heart of gold and a truly inspiring story of resilience. For most of his life, he knew only the confines of an outdoor kennel, having been rescued from a hoarding situation. Despite this difficult start, Hachi's spirit remained incredibly soft, and he has blossomed into a total love bug who genuinely adores people. He greets life with a wagging tail and a gentle spirit, and has never met a stranger he didn't want to befriend. Hachi is wonderful with kids and is a true "people person." He deeply cherishes the simple joys many dogs take for granted, like belly rubs, a cozy bed, and quality time with his family. Before his rescue, he slept on wooden slats, making his current appreciation for comfort even more heartwarming. He's a medium-energy boy, always up for fun but equally happy to relax by your side. After years in a kennel, Hachi is ready to forget his past and embrace a future filled with love and belonging.
Ideal Home
Hachi is looking for a home where he's included, cherished, and loved. He would love to join you on adventures and is happy to settle in for relaxation time afterward.
Ongoing Health
Hachi is still working on gaining weight after years of being underfed. His ideal weight is around 60 pounds, so he's ready for some delicious meals and treats!
Training & Support
Hachi is crate trained and potty trained. He does best with slow introductions to other dogs and tends to do better with confident canine companions. While he can sometimes try to act like the "big tough guy" with more timid dogs, this is an area he's working on.
