About Sir Duke

Written: 5/14/26 Updated: 6/9/26 Age: 9 weeks, birthday March 2026 Current Weight: 9lbs. Estimated Adult Weight: 45-60lbs Breed: DNA tested: Husky, Labrador Retriever, Pittie mix!

Meet Sir Duke!

Duke came to B&B with his brother and sister when they were around 5 weeks old after being found living outside. They have been DNA tested!

Duke is currently living with other dogs and cat and has done well with children. He is a more cautious player, but once he get comfortable, he plays chase with the best of them. He is a great office buddy and prefers to sleep on your feet while you work from home. Duke would do best with another dog in the home for continued socialization! He is working on his potty/crate training and doing well!

He is being fostered in Glen Allen, VA and is up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, has been dewormed, and is on monthly preventatives. His adoption fee is $375 and covers the cost of age-appropriate core vaccinations, microchip, and required neuter when age-appropriate. We require that all adopters, regardless of the dogs age, are committed to ongoing training and socialization as part of responsible ownership. To apply to adopt Sir Duke, visit www.beaglesandbentleys.org/adopt.

Spay/Neuter Disclosure: Spay/Neuter will be scheduled when age-appropriate and is covered in the adoption fee. We require adopters to be within a reasonable distance of Richmond or Virginia Beach in order to complete spay/neuter with our approved clinics.

Note: Sending a Petfinder inquiry is not submitting an application. We require a completed adoption application to move forward with adoption.

Beagles and Bentleys has an across-the-board evaluative process that we apply to every application we review that prioritizes our animals in need. We conduct a vet reference check (all resident dogs must be altered/up to date on dhpp/rabies and monthly preventatives, and cats must be altered and up to date on rabies) and a virtual home visit call where we discuss the adoption process and see your home.
