This soulful four-year-old American Pitbull Terrier/Labrador Retriever mix is a resilient beauty with a sleek black coat and bright white accents. Weighing in at 52 pounds, Dani is a medium-sized girl who embodies quiet strength and has an even bigger heart. Her journey began on the streets of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where she faced significant medical challenges as a pup. Thanks to devoted care, she regained her health and blossomed into the deeply affectionate and loyal companion she is today. Though she carries small scars on her paws, gentle reminders of her past, her spirit is full of warmth.

Dani is extraordinarily loving with her people, happily curling up close to you, sometimes even "purring" when she's content. She forms deep emotional bonds and loves to be near, often following you from room to room. She's intuitive and offers comfort with gentle licks when sensing sadness. She enjoys tugging ropes, peaceful walks, and knows commands like sit, stay, wait, and come. Having worked with a humane trainer using positive reinforcement, she thrives with structure and clear guidance. She is house-trained, spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations. Dani respects her home and doesn't engage in destructive chewing.

Ideal Home

Dani needs to be the only pet in her home due to pronounced fear-based reactivity towards other dogs. She can take time to warm up in new situations or with new people, and may be wary of some new men initially. Thoughtful introductions generally help her relax, and she may even engage in play before settling down. However, in situations where proper introductions aren't possible, like unexpected visitors, she may bark.
