Polly

Meet Polly, a 38lbs Cattle Dog Retriever mix with the heart of a puppy and the sweetest personality. She’s spayed, vaccinated, and fully up to date on all of her preventatives, so she’s ready to head straight into her forever home. Polly has a gentle, go with the flow nature and loves being part of whatever her people are doing.

Polly is a forever puppy at heart! She absolutely loves toys, enjoys playing with other dogs, and has a bouncy, happy energy when it’s time for fun. If another dog wants to play, Polly is always happy to join in. She’s also been around kids aged 6 and up and has done well with them.

While Polly enjoys playtime, she’s actually a pretty low energy girl overall. She’s just as happy to relax and cuddle as she is to toss around a toy. She’s affectionate, snuggly, and loves being close to her people. She can be a little shy when meeting new people, but she warms up quickly once she realizes she’s safe.

Polly has great house manners in many ways she’s fully house trained and crate trained for up to six hours. She does well in the car and has no issues with resource guarding or food aggression. She’s currently working on her leash manners and may pull sometimes, but since she’s on the smaller side she’s easy to manage while she continues learning.

Ideal Home

Polly would thrive in almost any home, whether it’s a family, a couple, or someone looking for a loyal companion. She has done well with children aged 6 and up.

Training & Support

Polly is still figuring out some of the rules of home life and will need a patient adopter who is willing to keep guiding her. Because she can sometimes get into things if left loose, she should be crated when unsupervised. With consistency and routine, she’ll continue to blossom. She is currently working on her leash manners.

Application Details:

• Applications start by contacting us through Wags.
• Once your initial screen is complete, you will be connected for a video chat.
• Transports run every few weeks, and we will schedule Polly on the next available transport once approved. If you are not able to accept a dog until a specific time period, please apply at that time.
• We are a volunteer-run rescue and dedicate our time to these dogs. If you are not serious about moving forward in our adoption process, please do not apply. If someone other than yourself is part of the decision-making process, please ensure you have spoken with them and they are on board. We do not want to waste anyone's time if you are not serious about adopting this dog.

Transporation

Polly is currently located with her foster in the US. She can be transported to approved adopters within our transport network.
