Meet Lucky and Piper!
These two loyal boys, a 7-year-old American Pitbull Terrier mix named Lucky (55 lbs) and a 12-year-old Hound mix named Piper (68 lbs), are a bonded pair looking for a home where their friendship can continue to blossom. They share a quiet, steady bond, often found resting side-by-side, and keeping them together offers them the emotional continuity and companionship they need to feel secure.
Lucky is the devoted shadow dog, who wants nothing more than to be near his person. Once he trusts you, he gives his whole heart! He knows sit, come, whistle recall, and shake, and thrives with positive reinforcement and treat-based learning. Piper is the steady, gentle soul of the pair, moving through the world with a quiet ease that makes everyone around him feel calm. He is easygoing and friendly with dogs, children, cats, and people. Both dogs have been microchipped, are current on parasite prevention, and are scheduled for routine veterinary care.
Ideal Home
Lucky and Piper need a new loving home with a securely fenced yard. Lucky needs a home without cats, birds, or small animals due to his strong prey drive. Lucky also does best with a patient, experienced guardian who understands he needs to come to you, not the other way around, and ideally a woman or female-led household.
Ongoing Health
Lucky requires daily medication to manage anxiety during severe weather and fireworks.
Training & Support
Lucky knows sit, come, whistle recall, and shake, and thrives with positive reinforcement and treat-based learning. He needs a patient, experienced guardian.
