Baxter is a large, gorgeous 10-month-old Cane Corso with a playful side—his favorite toy is a small red lobster! After being passed between several homes, he is looking for a stable, understanding family who will help make his next home his last.

Baxter can be reserved when first meeting someone, but with appropriate introductions he warms up relatively quickly to people and other dogs. He has done wonderfully with shelter volunteers and has been evaluated by trainers at Canine Cooperative.

Ideal Home

Baxter would do best with someone experienced with Cane Corsos or similar guardian breeds. He needs consistency, structure, and appropriate socialization, with a family that understands how to help him navigate the world appropriately. A home with children 12 and older is preferred.

Ongoing Health

Baxter is vaccinated and neutered. His adoption package includes age-appropriate vaccines, heartworm and Lyme testing, deworming, and flea and tick prevention.

Training & Support

Baxter is house-trained and has plenty of growing and learning ahead of him. Adopters receive a free session with Canine Cooperative once the adoption is finalized.
