Cheeto is a large, goofy red heeler mix who was found as a stray in Texas. He's a loving companion who enjoys cuddling on the couch, going for hikes, and playing at the beach (though he prefers to stay on dry land and chase his favorite ropey Jolly Ball through the waves). Cheeto is house-trained, crate-trained, and knows how to ask for permission to join you on the furniture, even in new places. He can be a little vocal when you leave, but he settles down quickly.

Ideal Home

Cheeto would do best in a home without children or cats. He thrives with plenty of attention and requires caution around other dogs and unfamiliar people, as he can exhibit reactivity and protective behaviors on leash.

Cheeto's recall isn't reliable, and he is very reactive to other dogs. He has shown protective tendencies when approached by strangers while on a leash. He needs a patient owner who can manage his reactivity and build his confidence.
