Louie

Meet Louie, a loyal and affectionate Staffordshire Terrier/Australian Shepherd mix who builds deep bonds with his people. He may take some time to warm up, but once he trusts you, he loves wholeheartedly. Louie enjoys playing with dog friends, chasing his Kong Frisbee, and relaxing after a fun day.

Ideal Home

Louie previously lived successfully with children and would be happiest with older children who are past the constant running and chasing stage. He loves other dogs and may feel more confident with a calm canine companion. Cats have not yet been tested.

Ongoing Health

Louie is neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, current on age-appropriate vaccines, and receives monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention.

Training & Support

Louie is house trained and crate trained. He knows sit, shake, and down, is very treat motivated, and enjoys learning. He does best with patient handling in unfamiliar situations and currently walks in a harness, sometimes with a second leash for added safety. His family should continue helping him keep all four paws on the ground when greeting people.
