Rico is an almost 2-year-old, 62 lb male Hound/Rottie mix with a heart full of hope and a spirit that remains sweet despite his past. He was unfortunately left behind when his previous family moved, but thankfully, caring neighbors and a loving foster family stepped in. Rico has a wonderful ability to connect with other dogs, especially those his size, and he absolutely loves to play with them. While he might take a moment to warm up to new people, he is incredibly cuddly and devoted once he feels comfortable. He's already mastered potty and kennel training, walks nicely on a leash, and enjoys playing with toys without being destructive. Indoors, Rico enjoys lounging like a couch potato, but when he's outside, he's full of energy, chasing balls and bubbles and romping with his canine friends. He does have a rear leg that sometimes causes him to limp or sit in an unusual way, but it doesn't seem to bother him or prevent him from enjoying his playtime. Rico is dreaming of a forever home with a fenced yard where he can explore and relax outdoors, and a family to shower with his affection. He's a sweet, young boy who truly deserves a loving home to call his own.
