Vanna

Meet Vanna, an approximately 4-year-old German Shepherd mix with a heart full of love and a personality to match! She's a playful, affectionate "velcro dog" who adores being close to her people and is happiest by your side, whether you're relaxing or adventuring. Vanna has medium energy and would thrive in an active home where she can enjoy games of fetch and go on walks. She's a great traveler in the car and is trusted to roam freely at home, never being destructive, only seeking out her favorite humans.

Ideal Home

Vanna would do best as the only dog in the home. While she can be playful with very well-matched, larger dogs (around 90 lbs or more) and understands when another dog is done playing, she's not a fan of smaller dogs. She can sometimes be reactive on leash depending on other dogs' behavior, so continued leash training is important. Vanna is also described as not a fan of smaller dogs and can sometimes be reactive on leash depending on how other dogs behave toward her. She is reserved with strangers initially but warms up to be friendly. She may do well with older children (12+) who can respect her space and boundaries.

Ongoing Health

Vanna is spayed and vaccinated. As a dog who has experienced trauma, she is actively working through some challenges.

Training & Support

Vanna has some resource guarding issues with food, toys, and people. She needs continued support with leash manners and is still polishing up her potty training, with occasional accidents. She is crate trained. With patience, consistency, and understanding, Vanna has great potential to continue growing.
