Mojo

Mojo is a sweet, timid young male Dachshund mix who arrived at CTDR from a shelter in South Texas. He's a gentle soul who needs a patient and loving home to help him blossom. When Mojo first meets new people, he can be a bit nervous and may cower, but with a little time and kindness, his true, loving personality shines through. He's made incredible progress, especially with the help of his "emotional support dog," Bitsy. Now, instead of running away, Mojo happily approaches for pets and attention.

Mojo absolutely adores going for walks and playing with Bitsy. He's a loyal companion who enjoys following his person from room to room, just wanting to be close. He sleeps soundly through the night in his crate and is reliable with using his doggie door. Mojo also enjoys quietly patrolling the backyard. He continues to gain confidence with new people and does best when allowed to approach at his own pace, especially if treats are involved!

Ideal Home

Mojo would thrive in a calm home environment without children. He would ideally be adopted with his best friend, Bitsy, but could also do well with another easygoing, non-alpha dog who can be a positive role model and companion.

Ongoing Health

Mojo is fully vetted and receives his heartworm prevention on the 1st of each month.

Training & Support

Mojo is still building his confidence and benefits from gentle introductions to new people and situations. Treats can be a great motivator for him!
