Gidgee

Meet Gidgee, a beautiful Heeler mix! This sweet girl was found wandering, looking for food, and sadly, it became clear she had been abandoned. Thankfully, a kind person rescued her and contacted us. She's now in a loving foster home, learning to trust again after her rough start.

Gidgee is about a year old and weighs 47 pounds. She's a bit shy initially, which is understandable given her past, but she's blossoming with her foster family's patience and love. She does well with other dogs and seems to enjoy their company. Gidgee finds comfort and security in her kennel, especially with a soft bed.

Ideal Home

Gidgee would thrive in a home with another dog to be her friend. She would also be a wonderful companion for an experienced owner who understands the loyalty, intelligence, and active nature of the Heeler breed.

Ongoing Health

Gidgee is fully vaccinated, heartworm negative, microchipped, dewormed, and is scheduled for her spay surgery.

Training & Support

While Gidgee is learning to trust, she can be shy at first. She needs a patient and understanding home that can continue to build her confidence. She does not enjoy car rides, so this is something to be mindful of. Heelers are known for being active and intelligent, so plenty of daily exercise and mental stimulation will be key to her happiness.
