Shiree - URGENT AND AT RISK

Shiree is a sweet 1-year-old German Shepherd mix who is urgently in need of a safe and comfortable place to recover from an upper respiratory infection. She has been at the Kern County Animal Services - Bakersfield Shelter since May 12, 2026, and is ready to leave the stressful shelter environment behind. This shelter houses over 300 dogs in less-than-ideal conditions, making Shiree and others high-risk. Your decision to open your home to Shiree would be life-saving.

Ideal Home

Shiree needs a quiet and calm environment where she can rest and heal. Given the urgency of her health condition, a home where she can be closely monitored and receive dedicated care would be ideal.

Shiree is currently being treated for an upper respiratory infection. She will require a caring individual to ensure she completes her course of treatment and fully recovers.
