Junie (FKA Swiftie)

Meet Junie, a wonderfully goofy and springy girl with big floppy ears, long legs, and a heart full of love! Junie, also known as JJ or June, is a real character who sometimes gets a little derpy in the best way. She absolutely thrives with space to run and gets the happiest zoomies when she can stretch her legs. When she's not zooming around, she's convinced she's a lap dog and loves to snuggle up close. She's a big fan of fetch and tug-of-war, making playtime a guaranteed good time.

Ideal Home

Junie can be timid with new people, especially men, and can be fearful in unfamiliar environments. She needs a patient home with slow introductions and plenty of time to decompress and feel safe. She is especially anxious around large dogs and would likely do best in a home without them. While she may bark when scared or overstimulated, this is fear-based and she has never shown aggression.

Junie is spayed and vaccinated.

Training & Support

Junie is very food motivated, which is a great asset for training! Things that help Junie feel comfortable include slow introductions, calm voices and energy, time to decompress, plenty of space to run, and engaging in fetch or tug games. She can startle easily and is a bit of a "total baby" when she's nervous, so a patient and understanding approach will help her shine.

Junie is located at Always and Furever Midwest Animal Sanctuary in Spring Hill, KS. Transport may be available to approved adopters.
