My name is SherBert, and I'm a 46-pound, year-old blue nose American Pit Bull with a heart of gold. I have a unique neurological condition that requires extra love and care, but in return, I promise endless affection and sweet kisses! I might cower sometimes when approached, but I'm learning to trust and feel safe again, and I'm excited to find a family who will make me their whole world. I absolutely adore a game of fetch, and my kisses are the cutest way I show my appreciation!

Ideal Home

I'd thrive in a home with carpet or rugs to help me get around easily, and I may need a little assistance with stairs. A fenced yard is a must for safe playtime. While I'm a friendly guy, I might do best as the only dog, as some dogs can be a bit much for me. However, if your furry friend is kind and accepting, we might get along well. I also like children.

Ongoing Health

I have an unknown neurological condition and require regular vet visits. I'm currently on a low dose of Prednisone to manage my immune system, which means I can't go to daycare or be around many unknown dogs.

Training & Support

I'm working on house, crate, and leash training. I'm not a huge fan of the crate, but I do settle down once I'm in. I'm a smart cookie and catch on quickly to new things.

• My adoption fee is $75, which includes my spay/neuter, vaccinations, wellness exam, heartworm test, and microchip.
• We do adopt out of state with vet references and a video home check.
• The adopter is responsible for coming to get the dog and returning the dog if the adoption does not work out.

Transporation

I am located in Springfield, MO. We adopt out of state and adopters are responsible for transportation.
