Twinkles

Twinkles is a 6-year-old female Shih Tzu with a heart full of love, especially for women. She came to us from a breeder and, while she can be a little shy around new dogs, she blossoms into a feisty and confident girl once she gets to know them. She's been a special case for us, not due to any medical issues, but because of her journey in learning to feel secure around other dogs.

Ideal Home

Twinkles would thrive in a home where her confidence can continue to grow. She needs an owner who sees the reward in helping a dog overcome challenges and is excited to continue her rehabilitation.

Twinkles is a healthy girl! Her "special needs" status is related to her behavioral journey, not a medical condition.

Training & Support

Twinkles can be a bit assertive when she feels unsure of other dogs, sometimes becoming too dominant once she knows them. She's looking for a patient and understanding owner who can help her continue to build her confidence and navigate interactions with other dogs.
