Meet the Magnificent Oliver!
I'm Oliver, a quirky, lovable, and drop-dead gorgeous pup who just graduated from the Paws-In-Prison program. I've got the brains of a working dog and the charm of a comedian, and I'm on the lookout for a forever home that appreciates a dog with a bit of flair! I love to be included in all family activities because boredom is not an option for me. I thrive with a second friendly, playful dog and need a buddy to share my adventures. While I might not be the perfect fit for every home, if you love uniqueness, you'll absolutely adore me. I need about 2-3 weeks to settle into my new home, so be patient with me, and I'll show you just how amazing I can be. A fenced-in yard is a must because I love to run, play, and need the space to stretch these long legs of mine.
I'm very dog-friendly, but I might be a bit much for some dogs at first, as I don't realize I'm the size of a small horse! I can be a bit bratty over my things, but it's something I'm working on, and it's hardly an issue anymore. I'll bury my head into you for some good old-fashioned love; I'm a big softie at heart. My favorite game is getting all the dogs in the yard to chase me around at full speed. When I'm overwhelmed, I like to chill in my crate or on the bottom bunk of my doggie bunk bed, which is my safe space. I bark and spin when I'm excited. If dogs are roughhousing on the other side of the fence, I'll pace and bark like a referee on duty. Little humans make me nervous, so kids aren't my thing.
Ideal Home
A home with a fenced-in yard and at least one other friendly, playful dog. I need an active home that understands my working dog needs and can offer me the love, patience, and space I deserve. I am not a good fit for homes with children.
Ongoing Health
All dogs are fully vetted, including spay or neuter, age-appropriate vaccinations, rabies, microchipped, Heartworm and Lyme tested, worming, flea treatments, Heartworm prevention started, and any other medical care needed. Paws-in-Prison dogs will not be ready for their new families until they complete their training program.
Training & Support
I've aced my basic and advanced obedience classes. I'm working on not being possessive over my things. I bark and spin when I'm excited and may pace and bark if dogs are roughhousing on the other side of the fence. My adoption fee includes a 6-week group obedience class.
