Meet Captain, a seven-year-old dog whose spark is as bright as ever. He's attentive, warm, and deeply present, the kind of companion who makes you feel like the most interesting person in the room. Captain arrived with many wonderful qualities, already knowing his basic commands, walking well on leash, and being crate trained. His standout trait, however, is his remarkable focus, which shone during his time in our training and enrichment program. He took to agility with incredible confidence, athleticism, and a drive to engage, showing a natural inclination to work collaboratively.
When he's off duty, Captain is a master of relaxation, enjoying movie nights, slow mornings, and cozying up on the couch. He's a medium-energy dog who loves his daily walks and outdoor adventures, but is equally content to unwind indoors after his exercise. His short coat is immaculate, and his fosters have noted him as one of the cleanest dogs they've ever had. Captain is very people-oriented and has shown affection towards children, possessing a calm and gentle demeanor that could make him a wonderful emotional support animal for the right person.
Ideal Home
Captain has a strong prey drive and is not safe around cats, livestock, or small animals. He can do well with other dogs, but introductions must be handled thoughtfully and on neutral ground. His ideal home will have someone with experience with bully breeds who understands the importance of structure and consistency for his well-being. A securely fenced yard would be a significant asset.
Ongoing Health
Captain is up to date on vaccinations and is on a three-way flea, tick, and heartworm prevention protocol. He has been cleared as healthy and is ready for his new home.
Training & Support
Captain knows his basic commands, walks nicely on leash, and is crate trained. He excels with structure and consistency, which are key to his thriving.
