Meet Summit!

Summit is a 3-month-old Black Labrador Retriever/Mixed Breed puppy weighing 10 pounds. This sweet and friendly boy is full of puppy charm and is looking for a family ready to help him grow into an amazing companion.

As a young puppy, Summit is still learning all about the world around him and will need a family committed to helping him continue learning and building confidence. Puppies require time, patience, consistency, and training, and Summit is looking for adopters who are excited and willing to invest in helping him develop into a wonderful dog.

With positive guidance, structure, and plenty of love, Summit has all the potential to grow into a loyal companion and lifelong best friend.

A required in-person meet and greet at our shelter is part of the adoption process to help ensure a good fit for both Summit and his potential adopters.

Summit is ready to find a family who will help him learn, grow, and enjoy all the adventures that come with puppyhood.

Before being rescued, many of our dogs had limited socialization, so they may need some time to adjust to life as a family pet. Older kids are often a great fit for our dogs, and homes with younger children will be considered based on each dog's individual needs. Skills like house training and leash walking may take a little extra patience and practice. However, with understanding and a gentle hand, most of these dogs adapt quite quickly.
