Krockett

Krockett is a handsome 1-year-old Labrador mix who weighs about 55 lbs. He was rescued in March 2024 and is currently being fostered in Houston, Texas. Krockett is a happy, smiling, and loyal companion. He’s intelligent, playful, and full of joy, always ready for some fun. Krockett would be thrilled to join an active family that loves spending time outdoors and enjoying adventures together. He's already crate and leash trained, and he's a great passenger on car rides!

Ideal Home

Krockett would thrive in a home with a fenced backyard. He needs an active family that enjoys outdoor activities. Prospective adopters should have an open mind about the needs of rescued animals and be prepared to offer protection and education. Experience with dog behavior and training is highly desired, as is a high level of patience for a rescued pup.

Ongoing Health

Krockett has been neutered and is up-to-date on his vaccines (DHPPI, Rabies, Bordetella) and has been dewormed. He has also tested negative for heartworm and has a health certificate.

Training & Support

While Krockett is crate and leash trained, he is not yet house-trained. The rescue understands that house-training each pet is a significant undertaking given their many animals, and they appreciate adopters who can continue this training.

Applications to adopt Krockett start by contacting us through Wags. You will be asked to complete an online application and may participate in phone/email interviews and a virtual meet-and-greet. A home check may also be conducted virtually or in person. A trial adoption period is offered.

Transportation

Krockett is currently in Houston, Texas, but is available to travel to the East Coast and the Pacific Northwest if adopted. A transport fee of $250.00 applies and is payable by the adopter prior to the pet's departure.
