Meet Ivy, your future best friend!

Ivy is a happy, affectionate, and playful girl with so much love to give. Her absolute favorite thing in the world is playing fetch! If you have a tennis ball, you'll instantly become her best friend! She also loves playing with toys, going on walks, and spending time with her people. She is a smart girl who already knows commands like sit, lay down, come, no, go potty, and go to your kennel. Ivy is potty trained and crate trained and does well with a routine. She gets along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes and absolutely adores children. Ivy can be a little shy around men when she first meets them. She simply barks, scoots backward, and needs a little extra time to feel safe. Having been raised in a home with two moms, unfamiliar men are something she has not had much exposure to. With patience, kindness, and a few treats, she quickly warms up and becomes the sweetest, most loving companion. She is very food motivated and loves watermelon, cucumbers, apples, ice cubes, and just about any treat you have to offer.

Ivy would thrive in a family that enjoys being active, playing, and including her in everyday life.

Ongoing Health

Ivy is spayed, up to date on all of her vaccinations, and heartworm negative.

Training & Support

Ivy is shy around men when she first meets them, and needs a little extra time, patience, kindness, and treats to warm up.

Transporation

Ivy is currently being fostered in Houston, Texas, but she is available for adoption and transport to many areas across the country. Her adoption fee includes transport, and if you are seeing her profile, there is a good chance we have a transport stop near you!
