Aliyah- Adoption Fee Sponsored

Aliyah is a sweet 6-year-old girl who is spayed, up-to-date on all vetting, and microchipped. Her adoption fee has been generously sponsored! Aliyah came to us from a neglect case and has been blossoming in her foster home. She's a sensitive soul who needs a patient and understanding adopter to help her feel safe and loved. Once she trusts you, she becomes incredibly attached and affectionate. She loves walks, stuffed toys, and treats!

Ideal Home

Aliyah would do best in a quiet, adult-only home where she can decompress and build confidence. She's used to living with other dogs her size or smaller and can be a little timid meeting new dogs, but with a friendly and patient canine companion, she adjusts well. Due to her fearfulness and reactivity in new situations, a home without children is essential.

Aliyah is spayed, up-to-date on all vetting, and microchipped.

Training & Support

Aliyah is fearful in new situations and with new people, especially men. She can be reactive when scared or protective of her person with strangers. Her foster has found that a Thundershirt helps her feel braver, and once her leash is on, she gains confidence for walks. She will need continued training from a confident owner experienced in working with dogs who have experienced trauma. Patience and consistency will be key to helping her overcome her trust issues and discover her joyful side.

Aliyah is currently in foster care in the Kansas City area and can be transported within a 3-hour radius.
