Meet Chestnut! This handsome little enigma is an 11-pound Chihuahua mix who is ready to find his forever home. Chestnut came to us with two female dogs and seemed to get along with them just fine. We suspect he might prefer to steer clear of male dogs, as he exhibits that classic small-dog "I'm in charge here" energy when they're around. Since we're still learning about Chestnut's personality, his future family will have the exciting opportunity to help us discover who he really is! He's an adult dog who's ready to show his true colors once he settles into a home and feels secure. He's a blank slate waiting to be filled in with all the quirks, preferences, and personality traits that make him special.
Ideal Home
Chestnut would likely do best in a home with female dogs or as the only dog where he doesn't have to navigate male dog politics. He's the perfect size for apartment living, and at 11 pounds, he's portable, manageable, and just the right amount of dog for someone looking for a smaller companion.
Ongoing Health
All dogs are examined by our veterinarian and are up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations at the time of adoption. We share all known medical information, but we cannot guarantee future health or rule out underlying conditions.

Since we're still learning about Chestnut's personality, his future family gets the exciting opportunity to help us discover who he really is! What we do know is that he's an adult dog who's ready to show his true colors once he settles into a home and feels secure. When we note that a dog is "potty trained," this refers to reliable crate training, not confirmed freeroam house training. Accidents may occur during the transition to a new home, and additional training should be expected.
