Meet Elvis! He's a handsome 3-year-old, 64 lb black Lab with floppy ears and a dazzling smile. Elvis is a sweet, goofy, and fun-loving dog who was surrendered by his previous owners. He's looking for an active family ready to help him channel his enthusiasm for life. He's smart, eager to please, and loves spending time with his people. Whether he's rolling over for belly rubs, making you laugh with his big dopey puppy antics, or happily tagging along on adventures, Elvis is always ready to be part of the action.

Ideal Home

Elvis would thrive in an active home that can provide plenty of exercise, enrichment, and opportunities to keep both his body and mind busy. He has done great with other dogs and would love a canine buddy to show him the ropes, though he could also be happy as an only dog with continued socialization and an active lifestyle. He is an accomplished escape artist and has previously climbed fences, so he will need a home with a securely fenced yard and owners committed to supervising outdoor time.

Elvis is up-to-date on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered.

Training & Support

Like many large dogs, Elvis sometimes forgets just how big and strong he is. He's still working on his manners and can be jumpy when he's excited, so he'll do best with a confident handler who has experience with larger dogs and can continue his training. The good news? He's incredibly eager to learn and has all the potential to become an amazing companion.

Elvis is located at our rescue in Austin, TX. We offer transport to approved adopters within a 500-mile radius for an additional fee.
