Leo is a sweet, affectionate 5-month-old Great Pyrenees pup who was sadly abandoned at his birth property and left outside in the cold. Thankfully, he's been in a loving foster home and is ready to find his forever family. Leo loves to explore and play with other dogs, and he also enjoys getting plenty of attention from his people. He's a smart pup who is treat-motivated and learning new things easily, though he does have the independent streak common in Great Pyrenees. Leo can be a bit of a charming negotiator when it comes to following commands, so he needs a patient and consistent adopter who will encourage him to be his best self. Once he knows you mean business, he's very agreeable and cooperative! Leo is generally submissive and gets along wonderfully with his foster siblings, including cats and small animals. He enjoys a good romp in the yard and is learning to be more confident on walks, especially near busy areas.
Ideal Home
Leo would thrive in a home with a securely fenced yard and needs adopters experienced with giant breeds. He is comfortable with unfamiliar cats and small animals in his foster home but may chase unfamiliar animals passing through the yard.
Ongoing Health
Leo is under 12 months old and will be adopted on a special spay/neuter agreement with a $50 refundable deposit. Adopters must agree to have him spayed/neutered by 12 months of age and provide proof.
Training & Support
Leo is still a puppy and requires supervision when not in his crate. He is doing well with not chewing on inappropriate items and is learning to only dig in designated areas. He is treat-motivated and learns quickly, but his independent nature means he needs a patient and consistent owner to guide him. Proper socialization, crate training, potty training, exercise, and obedience training are essential for Leo to grow into a well-adjusted giant.
