Chewy is a compact little girl who is pretty chilled with random spurts of energy and playfulness. Her favorite things are sunning outside, snuggling with you on your lap and in the bed next to you, or without you. She becomes very attached and is learning how to be a dachshund with an opinion. She came into the rescue after her elderly owner died. Born on 6/3/22, she is looking for a home that is calm and quiet, with access to the bed 24/7.

Ideal Home

Chewy needs a calm and quiet home where she can have 24/7 access to the bed. She cannot do stairs. A fenced-in yard is mandatory. She wouldn't mind another dog around.

Ongoing Health

Chewy requires a specific dog food, Science Diet Urinary care, to prevent crystals from forming in her body.

Training & Support

Chewy was potty pad trained by her original owner.
