Maxx

Maxx is a charming 3-year-old Chihuahua mix who has overcome a lot and is ready to share his big heart with a loving family. He came to us from a hoarding situation where he was underweight and struggling with an IBD flare-up. Thanks to dedicated care, a nutritious diet, and plenty of affection, Maxx has blossomed into a happy and healthy pup. He thrives on a simple, bland diet and may require a steroid twice weekly long-term to maintain his well-being, but he's currently responding wonderfully to his treatment.

Ideal Home

Maxx would do best in a calm environment where he can relax and feel secure. He's a bit sensitive to sudden movements and loud noises, so a home without young children is preferred. However, children aged 12 and older who are gentle and understand how to interact with smaller dogs could be a good fit.

Ongoing Health

Maxx has Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) and may need a steroid twice a week long-term. He is currently on a bland diet and his treatment plan.

Training & Support

Maxx is already potty trained and can also use potty pads. He gets along well with other dogs and enjoys their company. He's a sensitive soul who will appreciate a patient and understanding family.
