Lio

Tommen Baratheon, also known as Lio, is a 5-year-old, 22-pound male Spaniel/Dachshund mix with a special needs designation. He's a friendly but shy boy who loves belly rubs and can be quite submissive. Lio is a smart cookie who quickly masters treat puzzles and is a great size for adventures. He's described as a very sweet dog who is happiest when his humans are home with him.

Ideal Home

Lio would thrive in a home where someone is mostly home. He needs to be with another dog and is good with children and cats. He is not a fan of being left alone, and his anxiety can manifest as peeing when he's feeling anxious, whether that's from full separation or just a closed door. He's also a little wary of new people but won't bite, though he may offer a little growl.

Ongoing Health

Lio is currently on anti-anxiety medication for his separation anxiety.

Training & Support

Lio is potty trained and crate trained. He would benefit from more separation training, as his anxiety is most pronounced when left alone for extended periods. His current owners have been working on this, but more consistent effort in this area will be key to his success.
