Diego ¡Ándale! ¡Ándale!

Diego is a spirited and playful boy who was found wandering near a busy road in Houston. Thankfully, he was rescued and has since been neutered, vaccinated, and completed his heartworm treatment. Diego is estimated to be 2-3 years old and weighs a lean 62 lbs. His ears are cropped but do not stand, and they show some scarring from past issues, but they do not cause him discomfort.

Ideal Home

Diego would thrive in a home with a yard where he can safely burn off his energy. He needs an owner who understands the needs of a high-energy breed like the Doberman and can provide both physical and mental stimulation. He is not a good fit for homes with cats or other small critters, as he has a strong prey drive and will chase them.

Ongoing Health

Diego has completed his heartworm treatment. His cropped ears have some scarring but do not require ongoing medical care.

Training & Support

Diego is crate trained and uses it as his "off" button. He enjoys car rides and meeting new people. He is generally quiet and observant, but he also loves to run and play, especially with other dogs. He has a good balance of needing physical and mental stimulation. He has been fostered with dogs of all sizes and personalities and is playful, always avoiding conflicts.
