Impala (Safari litter)

Meet Impala from the adorable Safari litter! This sweet and playful pup was born around March 3rd and is a delightful mix of German Shepherd, Great Pyrenees, and Bully breeds, with an estimated adult weight between 45-75 pounds. Impala absolutely adores her foster canine siblings and is eager to find a home where she can continue to shine!

Ideal Home

Impala would thrive in a home that understands puppy needs and is ready for the joys and challenges that come with raising a young dog. She is good with other dogs, cats, and children.

Ongoing Health

Impala and her littermates had a rough start, but thanks to prompt veterinary care including the Parvovirus Monoclonal Antibody treatment, most of the litter never experienced severe illness from Parvo. They were also treated for Ehrlichia, a tick-borne illness, and are now on the mend. Impala is spayed, microchipped, and fully vaccinated, including rabies.

Training & Support

As a puppy, Impala is learning crucial life skills like crate training and housebreaking. She's a smart girl and is doing wonderfully, but she will need continued training and patience as she transitions into her new home. Remember, puppies require consistent housebreaking efforts, and may have accidents. They also need regular feeding and attention to chewing habits. The 3-3-3 rule is a helpful guideline for helping rescue dogs adjust to their new surroundings.

Transporation

Impala is currently in a foster home in Snohomish County, Washington. Adoptions are typically done Monday-Saturday. We have an adoption radius of approximately 300 miles, including the Portland, OR area and Vancouver, BC. You must be able to pick up your dog in Stanwood, WA.
