Meet Bessie, a delightful mystery wrapped in adorable fluff! Bessie is an 18-week-old Pyrenees mix (though her breed mix is anyone's guess!) who is as sweet and smart as she is charming. She arrived with us and is fully committed to winning over every human and creature she meets. Bessie is quick to learn, eager to please, and already crate trained. She's currently mastering puppy manners, which includes enthusiastic participation and selective listening! She's great with people, good with kids, and respectful of cats. Bessie's happy, goofy energy is sure to brighten even the dullest of days. Whatever her breed mix may be, we know for sure that Bessie is funny, affectionate, clever, and will bring immense joy to her future family.
Ideal Home
A home that understands and embraces puppy energy and training needs. Homes considering adopting a puppy must be prepared for flexible schedules for potty training, as puppies can only hold it for one hour per month of age. Crate training is essential until the puppy is at least one year old to prevent chewing on inappropriate items. Extensive socialization with varied positive experiences, both in and out of the home, is also crucial. Patience is key, as a puppy's behavior and life stages are equivalent to a human toddler, and it takes at least a full year to develop a calmer, well-adjusted dog.

Bessie is already crate trained and is working on general puppy manners, which currently include enthusiastic participation and selective understanding. Remember that puppies require patience, appropriate toys, socialization, and obedience training, all of which are time-consuming and can be expensive. Any dog requires work and effort, but a well-trained, well-socialized dog is more than worth the effort.
