Buddy

Meet Buddy! This handsome 18-month-old Terrier mix weighs about 40 pounds and is looking for a forever family to call his own. Buddy is a sweet, happy boy with so much love to give and is ready to be someone's loyal companion. He previously tested positive for a tick-borne disease but has completed treatment and is doing very well. Buddy loves people and does great with children. He is friendly with other dogs when given proper introductions and enjoys having canine friends to play with. Although Buddy has not lived with cats, he has been tested and has not shown any aggression towards them. Buddy has an active, playful personality and loves running around, playing, and spending time with his people. After a fun day of activities, he's happy to relax and enjoy being part of the family.

Ideal Home

Buddy loves people, children, and would enjoy having canine friends. He has shown no aggression towards cats.

Ongoing Health

Buddy previously tested positive for a tick-borne disease but has completed treatment and is doing very well. He is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and up to date on his veterinary care.

Training & Support

Buddy is both kennel trained and house trained. Like many dogs, he may mark when adjusting to a new environment, but once he settles in and learns the routine, he does much better. He is a pleasure to walk and does great on a leash, making him an excellent companion for daily walks and outdoor adventures.

Transportation

Buddy is currently being fostered in La Feria, Texas, but he can be transported to an approved out-of-state adopter. His adoption fee in the state of TX is $450 and it includes his transportation.
