Pepper

Pepper is a gentle soul with a long story and an even bigger heart. She was first adopted as a puppy, returned, adopted again, and then spent four full years loved in a home – until life changed in the hardest way when her owner passed away. Through no fault of her own, Pepper lost everything familiar. She entered the shelter alongside another dog, and while her friend has already found a home, Pepper waited 240 long days at her previous shelter before finally coming to PORT. Now she's with us, and we are absolutely determined that her waiting ends here. Pepper is house trained, wonderfully gentle and sweet, and truly a gentle giant. She loves riding shotgun in the car, calmly taking in the world from the passenger seat like the very good girl she is. Her presence is soothing – she's the kind of dog who quietly leans into you, offering comfort without ever asking for much. Pepper doesn't need chaos or constant entertainment. What she needs is stability, softness, and a place to belong again. A home where she can settle, be loved, and finally stay. She's waited long enough.
