Meet Veda, a perfectly playful puppy whose entire approach to life is basically: "Wait... we can PLAY in that too?!" Mud puddle? Amazing. New dog friend? Incredible. Couch cuddles afterward? Best day ever. This girl is pure sunshine wrapped in velvet fur and giant mismatched ears. Her ears are truly a marvel - one stands straight up as if receiving signals from outer space, while the other dramatically flops to the side, as if it missed the memo. They're a bit too big for her body right now, which only adds to her cartoon-character charm, complete with a soft puppy face and warm brown eyes.
Veda doesn't just walk through life; she launches herself into it with unbridled joy. During her assessment, she discovered a flooded, muddy yard and declared it the greatest place on earth. She was zooming, splashing, rolling, and inviting every dog to her muddy water party, transforming from a white puppy to a proud brown one.
Ideal Home
Veda would absolutely LOVE an adventurous home that enjoys hiking trails, beach days, camping trips, lake weekends, sprinkler fun, and exploring new places on long walks. She thrives when she gets to experience life with her people. She's curious, playful, and outgoing.
Ongoing Health
Veda is up-to-date on all her vetting, which includes DAPP vaccinations with boosters, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad-spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, and a 12-month injectable heartworm preventative. She has also been heartworm tested and will be treated if necessary.
Training & Support
Veda is very treat-motivated, which will make training and continued growth a rewarding experience. While she hasn't been officially kid-tested, she was sweet and excited during a brief interaction with a child. Given her playful puppy energy and tendency to jump when excited, we recommend older or dog-savvy children while she continues to learn manners. We are happy to conduct further kid testing for potential adopters.

Transporation
Veda is located in Texas and can be transported nationwide using our rescue's USDA-certified transport system. This system ensures safe and comfortable travel with 24/7 care. Drop-off locations are available in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada. For Canadian adopters, pickup is available in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT. You can track your pet's journey in real-time, receive photo updates, and connect with other adopters through a private Facebook event page. Please note there is an $87 surcharge for transportation due to rising costs. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
