HELLO THERE! My name is Butters, but my foster mom also calls me Butt Butt, Butter Bear, and Little Miss when I'm getting into trouble! I'm a 2-year-old, 38 lb pocket pitty with a "Go, Go, Go!" energy level. I was lucky to be sprung from a crowded shelter and now I'm looking for my forever bestie to have fun and cuddles with. I absolutely love to play fetch, though I'm still working on nicely giving the toy back. My favorite game involves my big Jolly ball, and I'm also a big fan of Paw Patrol! I'm affectionate from the get-go, curious, and eager to learn new things. I'm treat motivated and take treats gently. I'm also a good girl at the vet's office, enjoy being handled, and love car rides, though I need to be safely secured so I don't try to take the wheel! I also love to sleep in bed with my people, curling up right against them.

Ideal Home

I'd love a person or couple who wants a best friend. I need a home with a physical fence and would prefer to have my humans all to myself, as some dogs don't appreciate my enthusiasm. I can live with children ages 12 and up.

Ongoing Health

I have no special needs at this time.

Training & Support

I'm working on leash manners and redirecting my enthusiasm when meeting new people or seeking attention. I'm also learning to give toys back nicely after fetch. I’m moving into my teenage phase, so I do need guidance and additional training to help me become the amazing companion I’m meant to be. I’ve got so much love to give to humans who adopt me. We encourage all newly adopted dogs to attend basic positive reinforcement training class with their adopters.

Applications start by contacting us through Wags.
Our adoption process includes an application and an in-home meet-n-greet with the dog.
The adoption fee for adult dogs is $250 plus a $50 refundable training deposit.

Transportation

All of our dogs are fostered in private homes. To meet me in person, please see our event calendar on the Wags website for upcoming adoption events. Arrangements can be made to meet me outside of adoption events after an application is submitted and approved.
