Comet Good Shepherd

Comet is a 4-month-old German Shepherd pup with a sleek black coat, tan paws, and a charming white spot on his chest and chin. He's the more reserved of his litter, taking his time to warm up to new people and environments. Comet prefers to observe quietly before approaching, but once he feels safe and trusts you, his gentle and affectionate side truly shines. He enjoys snuggling close and being near his favorite people. Comet came to us from the Galveston shelter with his siblings and has been learning what it means to feel safe and loved in a foster home.

Training & Support

Comet is kennel trained and sleeps through the night. He's doing well adjusting to home life and lives with multiple other dogs and adults, whom he's comfortable around. He's a quiet puppy who only barks when excited about food or treats, and he's working on improving this. He's still learning how to respond to corrections but is making steady progress with guidance.

Comet is currently in Texas. We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue-run USDA-certified transport system, ensuring every pet travels safely and comfortably with 24/7 care. Drop-off locations are available in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada. For Canadian adopters, pick-up is in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT. A $87 surcharge applies due to rising transportation costs. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
