About Hank (26-201)

Hank is still a very shy boy, but he continues to make progress every single day. While he can be hesitant around new people, unfamiliar situations, and different environments, we're watching his confidence grow little by little as he learns that the world isn't such a scary place after all. One thing we've discovered is that Hank truly thrives when he has another dog by his side. He currently enjoys playtime and potty breaks with a female dog, and her calm, confident presence helps him feel safe and secure. Having a canine companion to follow has encouraged Hank to explore, build confidence, and continue coming out of his shell. Because of this, we believe Hank would do best in a home with another friendly, confident dog who can help guide him as he continues to blossom. Hank has also shown that he can peacefully coexist with cats. He is non-reactive to our office cat and previously lived successfully with a feline companion, so we believe he could happily share a home with a cat. Hank is looking for a patient and understanding adopter who knows that trust is earned over time. The family willing to let him move at his own pace will be rewarded with the incredible experience of watching a shy, uncertain dog transform into a loyal, loving, and devoted companion. Every milestone with Hank is hard-earned, making each one that much more special.
