Cooper

Cooper is a 7-year-old, approximately 60lb hound mix who is a loving and exuberant companion. He was rescued from a high-kill shelter down south and is now looking for a stable, happy home. Cooper is housebroken, walks well on a leash, and enjoys long walks where he can sniff everything. He's also a big fan of lounging in the sun and taking naps. He is food and treat motivated, making him eager to please. Cooper gets along well with friendly, same-size dogs and enjoys butt scratches. He is not fond of crates and prefers to have free run of the home.

Ideal Home

Cooper would thrive in a home with a large, secure, fenced yard. He needs a patient and understanding person, ideally someone who works from home. A mature single person, couple, or family with experience with rescue dogs would be a great fit.

Ongoing Health

Cooper is healthy, all his shots and preventatives are up to date, and he is neutered.

Training & Support

Cooper is well-behaved in the home and sociable. He is not fond of being crated. He is very food and treat motivated, which can be a great asset for training.
