Toaster

Toaster is a 2.5-year-old dog with a zest for life, a silly name, and a uniquely endearing way of moving. He may not move like a typical dog due to a past spinal injury, but his spirit and joy are infectious! Toaster's balance and coordination have improved significantly during his time with us, and he's even mastered navigating short staircases.

Ideal Home

Toaster would thrive in a home with older children who can appreciate his energetic nature without being overwhelmed by his playful antics. While he enjoys the company of other dogs, his unique gait might be startling to some, so introductions should be managed carefully.

Ongoing Health

Toaster is heartworm negative and has no other known medical concerns. His spinal injury has healed, resulting in a unique way of moving, which he seems perfectly content with.

Training & Support

Toaster is working on his social skills, learning to temper his enthusiasm when interacting with people. He has a habit of playfully mouthing forearms, which he needs to learn is not always appreciated by humans. He is doing an excellent job keeping his kennel clean, so housetraining is expected to be a breeze. He walks surprisingly well on a leash, despite his wobbly gait.
